Splitting: If the first two cards are of the same value the player can place another bet of the same amount and create two hands. An additional card will be dealt to each individual card of the pair and play continues as normal.
Doubling: If the total of the first two cards when added together is 9, 10, or 11, the player has the option of doubling down (in essence buying another card) that is placing another bet of the same amount and they will receive one more card only.
