CASH GAME LEAGUE
Friday 29th March to Wednesday 22nd May, 2024
Date for Final – Sunday 26th May, 2024 (8:30pm)
40 hours needed to qualify
€300 will be taken from the prize pool – €200 for the player with the most hours, €100 for the runner up
To take part in the league, each player must first register with the pit boss. Players can then log in and out with the dealers.
- €1 will be taken from each pot of €20 or over in the Sporting Emporium cash games to create the prize pool (maximum league money taken out per pot is €1)
- No league monies will be taken from the cash games on the last Thursday of the month (when the End of Month tournament is played) and hours for players on this night will not be recorded and so not included in the league
- While participation in the league is optional and so players do not have to have their hours recorded, the taking of €1 from each pot of €20 or more is mandatory other than on the last Thursday of the month as explained above
- To take part in the league, players will first need to register for the league with the cashier, the pit boss or with the poker supervisor. This will only need to be done once for each league
- When a player joins a cash game, the dealer will enter then into the system so their hours of play can be recorded
- Once a player has finished for the night, they will be registered as leaving the game
- Please note – it is the responsibility of players to ensure that they are registered for the league and that the dealer clocks them in and out of the game as outlined above
- Qualifying players must play the Final themselves – they cannot choose someone else to play on their behalf
- The League Final will be played out as a cash game:
- Finalists will have the option to take 50% of their funds from the prize pool in cash (with the remaining 50% staked in the Final)
- Qualifying players will receive cash chips proportionate to the number of hours they have played (subject to them taking 50% in cash as above)
- Players must play for a minimum of 2 hours or until they lose their chips (players can rebuy into the game if they wish. In this case, they can leave before the 2-hour period is over)
- The cash game will be rake-free for a period of 2 hours from the start of the game
- The cash game will be open to qualifying players only until the rake-free period is over
- Qualifiers who cannot make it to the Final will have the option to take 50% of their funds in cash
Waiting Time qualifying for Cash League Hours
Players playing in cash games on Tuesdays or Wednesdays can have the time spent waiting for the game to start, added to their cash league hours for that day, subject to the below.
- Players must have chips on the table for the duration of their time waiting for the game to start and be at the table while waiting
- On arrival, players must make it known to the pit boss that they are looking to play poker so that the time can be noted
- Once a game starts, players should log in for their hours with the dealer as usual
- Once finished, players should sign out with the dealer
- Players who have played for a minimum of one hour, will have their starting time adjusted to include the period of waiting, subject to a maximum added period of one hour
- In the event that the game does not go ahead, no time can be added for the period of waiting
- This promotion is valid for Tuesdays and Wednesdays only during the period of the new cash league
